ToUcam 740 Pro ICX-098BL B/W Mod (2)
First sensitivity test
After finishing the ToUcam B/W mod I ran some tests against a std ToUcam
pro regarding CCD sensitivity. Here the cam settings used for all captures
dumped with martin Burri's wonderfull WcCtrl:
******** Capture Settings: Mittwoch, 29. September 2004 / 20:50:44 ********
Program : WcCtrl - WebCam Control Utility (V 1.0.11)
Cam Driver : Philips ToUcam Pro Camera; Video
******** Capture Cam Settings: 29.09.2004 20:50:44 ********
Brightness : 50% - raw: 63 (0 .. 127)
Saturation : 100% - raw: 100 (-100 .. 100)
Gamma : 0% - raw: 0 (0 .. 31)
FPS : 0 (0..5=5,10,15,20,25,30)
Gain : 0% - raw: 0 (0 .. 63)
-end of setting------------------------------------------------
Illumination of the object was constant for all captures.

5. ToUcam ICX-098BQ color, optimized nonraw mode:
6. ToUcam ICX-098BQ color, color raw mode, debayer with AVIRaw:
Conclusions
The increased sensitivity of the b/w CCD is obvious (integrated light).
According to the spectral sensitivity curves from the datasheets the yield
of sensitivity in the near UV band will be even higher than for the integrated
light.
