My observing location from an aerial shot:
I'm happy to observe from a terrace and backyard. I'm able to observe
any object above ~35° altitude, most lower objects can be viewed by
choosing an appropriate observing position, alpha-UMI is visible anywhere
to set up the mount.
Light pollution from the near city is noticable to the south-east although
I'm very pleased that a nasty sky-beamer has been closed down :)
Seeing conditions should be typical for a suburb: Basically ok, during
the winter months is heat emerging from central heatings through the chimneys
problematic for low altitude objects and during summer nights after hot
days heat emerging from roofs and streets causes local seeing turbulences.
DSO observation is quite limited due to lots of light sources around at
night.
